Christmas is coming to town – and with it the fairs and markets that come with it.

As far as we’re concerned, the Christmas Fair at Parish CE Primary School (London Lane, Bromley BR1 4HF) will be among the shining stars of things to do this festive season.

We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the event this year, and are looking forward to showing our support to some talented youngsters at one of south London’s many brilliant schools.

Fear not if you aren’t able to make it, though: there’s still plenty more to do. Here are a few of our favourite things coming up…

Christmas in Lewisham

Catford Food Market and Christmas Lights – Sunday 24 November, 10am – 4pm

Catford Shopping Centre SE6 4HQ

Pop on down for brilliant street food, some no doubt brilliant Christmas gifts, and to see Catford lit up and the Christmas season officially begin.

Festival of Lights – Sunday 1 December, from 1pm

Beckenham Place Park BR3 5BS

A spectacular evening in one of south-east London’s best spots – book now to grab your space!

Community Links – Saturday 7 December, 12-3pm

The Green Man, 355 Bromley Road SE6 2RP

With Santa’s grotto, majestic reindeer, snowboarding, live entertainment, face-painting, crafts and activities for everyone in the family, Phoenix Community Housing’s Christmas Community Links is a brilliant free afternoon out for south Londoners.

And when you’ve had a brilliant family day out at Community Links, give the babysitter (or the grandparents) a call and pop down the road to Beckenham Place Park for its Christmas Gin Party.

Things to do in Bromley over Christmas

Aladdin – 7 December-5 January

Churchill Theatre, High Street, Bromley BR1 1HA

There’s nothing quite like a panto at Christmas, is there? A brilliant time out for parents and families, make sure it’s on your Christmas to-do list if you live in south London (or anywhere in London really!).

A very Greenwich Christmas

An Evening with the Stars – 19 November-20 January

Royal Observatory Greenwich SE10 8XJ

Christmas can be a magical time – but let’s not forget the majesty of nature. Why not visit Greenwich to rediscover the beauty of the natural world this Christmas at this exhibition? With the darker nights setting in, the lights on offer at Greenwich Observatory are not to be missed.

Storytime with Santa – 2-6 December

Greenwich Market SE10 9HZ

No south Londoner needs miss out on Santa this Christmas season – Santa will be in Greenwich Market in the first week of December reading stories to groups of lucky kids. Book now to ensure you don’t miss out!
